Baked BBQ Chicken

Sweet BBQ sauce with some crunch from the celery and baked in the oven — yum!
Ingredients
  • 9 chicken thighs
  • 3 tbsp canola oil
  • 1 cup ketchup
  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp pepper
  • 1 tsp mustard
  • ¼ cup lemon juice
  • ½ cup chopped celery
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
Instructions
  1. Cook chicken thighs in oil on frying pan until brown.
  2. Prepare sauce with the rest of the ingredients in a medium saucepan on stove and simmer for 10 minutes.
  3. Place chicken thighs in shallow pan or casserole dish & cover with sauce.
  4. Bake at 350°F for 45 minutes, basting occasionally.
  5. May add water to sauce if too thick.
